Sacagawea - Janey - Bird Woman
Without Sacagawea's assistance, perhaps the Corps of Discovery would have survived the torturous Rocky Mountains and maybe they would have successfully returned to St. Louis, but doubtless the trip would have been much more dangerous. Her skill, attitude, physical strength and knowledge complemented the Corps's mission perfectly.
Whether know as Bird Woman, Janey or Sacagawea, this mere teenager lent knowledge, wisdom and skills beyond her tender age to the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
